"Subject 6 - Alpha 2" on shortlist for IndieX film fest (L.A)

The short film that I composed the score for, Subject6-Alpha2, has been submitted to a slew of independent film festivals that span the entire country. This one shortlisted us, and said we could display this Laurel, so I guess it's official?

Drew Lanius (EPB lead vox) made all of the background graphics and video for our NYE show. He's amazing with adobo photoshop, premier, after effects, the entire suite.

We've all felt some soul crushing losses this year, and Drew took it upon himself to make sure everyone knew the names of our lost loved ones by making this background accompany our cover of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" and asking the crowd to "shine a light" for them.

Dad used to play Pink Floyd all the time for us as kids, and he played it in his band, too. So, with tears in our eyes and frogs in our throats, we managed to pull this one off.

Im going to post the video as soon as I can get it from Drew.

Regardless, thank you with all of my soul, Drew, for putting this together. What other band would do this for their drummer? I love you, man!!!!!!!!!!

We Delivered!

I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and even I think the boys and I brought our A game at the Hard Rock Casino's NYE Bash. I dusted off my old sampler and did some keyboard parts right from behind my kit. Since some of them were sequenced, I had to play with a click track in my ear so the samples lined up with my drums.

So I was drumming, triggering samples, singing, and listening for a click all at the same time at a few points of the show, and???

NAILED IT!

The stage set up was pretty epic, no?
